Missoula Housing Authority receives $1,063,971 from HUD
Missoula Housing Authority (MHA) has been awarded $1,063,971 to help people experiencing homelessness. MHA is one of 17 organizations in Montana to receive a grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) $2.8 billion in Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition Awards. These awards are to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing.

HUD grants MHA increased “Success rate” Payment Standards for Section 8
In response to Missoula’s skyrocketing rents, HUD has granted MHA a special “Success Rate Fair Market Rent” which is higher than the established FMRs.
MHA helps retain Bridge Apartments by giving the tenants Section 8 vouchers
Western Montana Mental Health Center is selling the Bridge Apartments to the City of Missoula. The apartments built in 1996 have housed WMMHC clients and other disabled individuals.
